Israeli forces opened fire Friday at a Palestinian in their car while driving near the town of Hawara, south of Nablus, in the northern Occupied West Bank.
The Israeli army claimed in a statement that the Palestinian tried to run over Israeli soldiers near the Einbus intersection, and fled.
The said Israeli soldiers fired at the car and large forces of the army started chasing it in an attempt to arrest its passengers.
The Israeli forces forced shop owners in Hawara to close their and deployed heavily on the main street in the centre of the town.
