Israel planned to target the Jordanian field hospital in Gaza as part of a campaign of attacks against all hospitals in the Gaza Strip, with the goal of pressuring Jordan to cease providing medical care to the brothers there, an official source said Wednesday evening.
The Israeli attack followed Jordan’s insistence on ensuring the Jordanian field hospital in Gaza continues to operate with tenacity and resolve by airdropping the medical supplies required to keep it operating, according to the source.
“Only a few hours had passed since we learned of rumors that the Jordanian field hospital was being used as a spy center against the resistance, then there was the flagrant Israeli assault on the hospital staff. This episode exposes the source of the media’s fabricated information regarding the hospital,” the source emphasized.
