Iraq and Somalia discuss cooperation in the field of exchanging experiences, information, issues and common files

Baghdad: The National Security Advisor, Qasim Al-Araji, met in his office today, Tuesday, with the National Security Advisor of the Republic of Somalia, Hussein Moalim Mahmoud Sheikh Ali, and his accompanying delegation.

The National Security Chencellry stated in a statement, ‘Al-Araji discussed with his Somali counterpart the strengthening of relations between the two countries in all fields, and cooperation in the field of exchanging experiences, information, issues and common files.’

The statement added, “The meeting witnessed an emphasis on continued communication between the two sides and the exchange of views on issues of common interest, including cooperation in the field of combating terrorism and establishing security and stability in the region.”

Al-Araji expressed, “The appreciation of the Iraqi government and people for the brotherly and friendly countries that are working alongside Iraq to achieve the goals of sustainable global security, reiterating that the government’s program stressed the
importance of openness and communication with everyone in a way that serves the interest of Iraq, its people, and the countries and peoples of the region and the world.”
