Iraq And India Sign A MoU For Bilateral Cooperation

Iraq signed today, Sunday, a memorandum of understanding with India for bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

The Ministry of Oil stated in a statement, “The Minister of Oil, Hayan Abdul-Ghani, stressed the importance of developing and expanding the horizons of bilateral cooperation with India in all fields, as it is an important trading partner and one of the most important importers of Iraqi oil, which represents an economic and industrial power that is witnessing rapid growth.”

Abdul-Ghani referred to “the keenness of the two friendly countries to activate and expand the horizons of bilateral cooperation by activating the Memorandum of Understanding and cooperation in all fields, and exchanging experiences that serve common interests, welcoming the Indian investment companies to work in Iraq.

For his part, Indian Oil Minister Shri Hardeep S Puri affirmed his country’s keenness to strengthen relations in all fields, and the desire of Indian investment companies to implement important projects in Iraq.
