International Food and Technology Fair Dazzles in Amman

A culinary spectacle has been unveiled at the Jordanian Center for International Exhibitions in Mecca Mall as Abdul Fattah Al-Kayed, Executive Director of the Jordan Corporation for the Development of Economic Enterprises, inaugurated the International Food and Food Technology Exhibition on Thursday. Organized by Pulse International Company, in partnership with the General Syndicate of Foodstuff Traders, the four-day event, running from 2 pm to 8 pm, promises a rich showcase from diverse local, Arab, and global companies. Al-Kayed highlighted the role of such exhibitions in bolstering Jordan’s economic growth, emphasizing the importance of the private sector in this endeavor. He also touched upon government initiatives aimed at enhancing the business environment and drawing investments. Echoing Al-Kayed’s sentiments, Khalil Hajj Tawfiq of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce spotlighted the significance of the food sector. With Jordan importing nearly 85% of its food, he acknowledged the private sector’s prowess in ensuring the local market’s needs. Tawfiq also expressed aspirations inspired by His Majesty King Abdullah II, envisioning Jordan as a regional hub for food security. Guest speakers, Wassim Jabari from Hebron and Alaa Al-Nouri from Baghdad, emphasized strengthening economic collaborations with Jordan. Their discourse championed mutual growth and partnerships. Khaled Abu Hamad, at the helm of Pulse International, recognized the unwavering support of the government in fostering economic activities. He lauded the achievements of the local food sector, which has garnered global attention for its quality and innovation.
