Parliament Speaker Muhammad Al-Halbousi affirmed the parliament’s keenness to strengthen relations between Iraq and the countries of the world
A statement by his media office said that Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi received today a number of ambassadors and representatives of diplomatic missions from the European Union.
According to the statement, the meeting dealt with the relations between Iraq and the European Union countries, and ways to enhance cooperation in a number of fields, including economy, investment and the human rights file, and discussed the international and regional political situations, as well as a number of issues of common interest.
Al-Halbousi affirmed, during the meeting, the parliament’s keenness to strengthen relations and cooperation between Iraq and its friends in the world, and the government’s support in this regard.
For their part, the ambassadors praised the positive relations between Iraq and the European Union countries, expressing their countries’ continued support for Iraq in all fields to achieve its security and stability.
