His Excellency Abdul Rahman bin Mohammad Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention and Minister of State for Federal National Council (FNC) Affairs, asserted that the directives and forward-looking vision of the UAE’s wise leadership are a pillar for all efforts to advance parliamentary work, strengthen collaboration, and enhance integration of roles between the government and the FNC, paving the way for the UAE to assume the leading international position it deserves.
H.E. Al Owais’ comments came in a statement he issued on the opening of the 4th Ordinary Term of the 17th Legislative Chapter of the FNC.
“The opening of the FNC’s 4th Ordinary Terms signals the launch of a new phase of constructive collaboration between the government and the Council to the benefit of the nation and its citizens, whereby the two authorities work together to implement the sound, forward-looking vision of H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE; H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Ruler of Dubai, and Their Highnesses the rulers of the emirates, transforming this vision into plans and programmes to advance our society, improve the lives of its members, and promote the empowerment process the UAE is leading as part of its commitment to investing in people and providing them with the skills and tools they need to compete and excel on the world stage,” H.E. Al Owais noted.
“This Term comes as the UAE embarks on a new stage of development and prosperity across all sectors, signalling a commitment to maintaining the momentum of achievements over the next 50 years, led by the vision of our wise leadership that makes the impossible possible, and strives to reach the top positions, setting ambitious goals for its people, who, with their creativity and dedication, raised the UAE’s name high the region and all around the world,” H.E. added.
H.E. Al Owais stressed that the advanced cooperation between the government and the Federal National Council over the past three Terms of the 17th Legislative Chapter, coupled with the transparent, objective, and clear representation of citizens’ issues before government representatives, and the joint efforts to develop appropriate solutions for them, are all evidence of the great success of parliamentary work in the UAE and its ability to present a purely national model. “The basis of collaboration between the two is to serve the country, meet the interests of its citizens, and invigorate the process of development and prosperity that the UAE is witnessing, in order to create a future innovation-led government that invests in talent and remains proactive to achieve its objectives,” he said.
The constructive discussions taking place under the dome of the Federal National Council between FNC members and government representatives reflect the harmony between the two authorities and their dedication to serving the country and its citizens, H.E. explained, noting that this embodies the government’s efforts to interact with and respond to the recommendations issued by the Council.
H.E. Al Owais reiterated the commitment of the Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs to always improve the relationship between the government and the Council, and enhance the efficiency of coordination efforts between the two authorities. “The objective is to create the ideal conditions for holding FNC sessions during this 4th Term and to maintain this dedication to excellence in the Ministry’s performance, as with all previous sessions of the Council,” H.E. said. “This, in turn, is set to reflect positively on government performance, strengthening parliamentary work in order to achieve the UAE’s vision to be at the forefront among countries the world in various sectors and fields.”
