Fujairah to host aid collection drive as part of ‘UAE Stands with Lebanon’ campaign


In light of the mass response to the ‘UAE Stands with Lebanon’ campaign and the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council extending it as a result, Al Bustan Hall in Fujairah will host an aid collection event on Sunday, 27th October, 2024, from 15:00 to 19:00.

Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi Foundation for Humanitarian Affairs and the Fujairah Charity Association will manage and organise the event for collecting food parcels and shelter equipment.

Saeed bin Mohammed Al Raqbani, Special Adviser to the Ruler of Fujairah and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Fujairah Charity Association, pointed to the keenness of the leadership in extending a helping hand to the people of Lebanon suffering due to ongoing conflict.

He specially mentioned the keenness of H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, and H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, to contribute to the aid campaign, reflecting the UAE’s ethical commit
ment to stand by nations in distress.

Suhail Rashid Al Qadi, Director of the Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi Foundation for Humanitarian Affairs, explained that humanitarian work was an integral part of the UAE’s social identity, as evidenced by the huge public turnout for the collection events held as part of the campaign.

Volunteers from diverse backgrounds will participate in coordination with the Volunteers.ae platform and other entities in the country.

People from all segments of the community can make their donations to the Emirates Red Crescent’s (ERC) branch in Fujairah. Cash donations can be made through the smart applications of the Emirati donor institutions, in addition to the ERC website and applications, or through its official accounts.
