Four maintenance workers drowned in a water purification pond in a Mafraq-based plant earlier on Wednesday after accidentally falling in. According to the Public Security Department’s media spokesperson, the Mafraq Civil Defense crews recovered the bodies and transferred them to the Mafraq public hospital morgue.
