The Preparatory Committee for the International Conference for the Reconstruction of Derna announced that the date of the conference will be postponed until early next November.
The committee stated, in a statement on Sunday, that the conference, which was scheduled to be held on October 10, was postponed for logistical reasons to give companies the necessary time to present effective studies and projects that will contribute to the city’s reconstruction process.
For his part, the head of the committee, Saqr Al-Jibani, said that the conference will be held on the first and second of next November in the cities of Derna and Benghazi.
Al-Jibani announced the launch of a website and accounts on social media platforms explaining the agenda and objectives of the international conference, its scientific and development axes, how to register for the conference for international companies, think tanks, international consulting offices and their counterparts from the Libyan side, and the criteria for participation.
