Abu Dhabi: Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC), today received separately in Abu Dhabi, Sultan bin Abdullah Al-Angari, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the UAE, Timur Zabirov, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the UAE, and Nabil Abdul Khalek, Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the UAE.
According to Emirates News Agency, during the meetings, they discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields, particularly focusing on activating parliamentary cooperation and relations between the Federal National Council and the parliaments in these countries. They emphasised the importance of exchanging visits and parliamentary expertise, strengthening coordination and consultation on issues of common interest between the UAE and these countries, as well as the significance of promoting communication between nations, peoples, civilizations, and cultures to build bridges of collaboration and understanding.
Saqr Ghobash highlighted the importance
of advancing parliamentary work to meet future challenges and strengthening the role of parliamentary institutions through parliamentary diplomacy. Views were exchanged on various regional and international developments, particularly the situation in the Middle East.
