Extremist Settlers Storm Al-Aqsa Mosque Amid Heavy Security

Occupied Jerusalem: Hundreds of extremist Jewish settlers raided the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque on Wednesday morning.

According to a statement from the Islamic Endowments Department in Jerusalem, the settlers performed Talmudic rituals inside the mosque, coinciding with the so-called “Hebrew Weeks” Jewish holiday, adding that the incursion occurred under heavy guard from the Israeli occupation police.

Additionally, groups of extremist settlers were reported to have conducted provocative Talmudic prayers at one of the mosque’s entrances.

To facilitate the settlers’ passage to Al-Aqsa Mosque, occupation forces closed Sultan Suleiman Street near Damascus Gate early in the morning.

The closure was part of stringent security measures that aimed to impede movement of worshipers and visitors to Al-Aqsa and check their identification cards, the statement said.
