Erdogan presents ICC prosecutor with books ‘Evidence’ and ‘Witness’ as living documents of Israel’s crimes in Gaza

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan presented the International Criminal Court Prosecutor Karim Khan with the books “The Evidence” and “The Witness”, which document Israeli crimes in the Gaza Strip.

This came during their meeting in New York City, USA, on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The Turkish Presidency’s Communications Department stated in a statement early Tuesday that President Erdogan stressed during the meeting that Israel is committing “genocide” in the Gaza Strip and that it does not hesitate to violate international law and human rights and is planning to commit new massacres, believing that there is no force to stop it.

Erdogan stressed during the meeting the need to hold Israel accountable for the crimes it is committing and also the need to reach a conclusion in the genocide case filed against Israel at the International Court of Justice, and that this is important so that “the perpetrators of genocide receive the punishment they deserve and to
maintain confidence in international law.”

President Erdogan explained during the meeting that Turkey will continue to do its utmost to prove the crime of genocide committed by Israel in the Palestinian territories, with tangible evidence.

On December 29, South Africa had submitted an 84-page lawsuit, in which it presented evidence of Israel, the occupying power, violating its obligations under the United Nations Charter and its involvement in “committing acts of genocide against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip,” while it announced Turkey and other countries later joined the same case.

The two books / Evidence and Witness / prepared by the Turkish Anadolu Agency included a detailed account and conclusive evidence documented with live photos of Israel’s crimes in Gaza and horrific stories from the reality of this crime.
