Erdogan affirms Turkey’s solidarity with the Palestinian people

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan affirmed his country’s “total” solidarity with the Palestinian people.

Erdogan said in a speech during his participation in a meeting of the heads of branches of the ruling Justice and Development Party: “I have mercy on the souls of the Palestinian martyrs who fell as a result of the Israeli attacks on the city of Jenin,” two days ago.

The Palestinian city of Jenin and its camp were subjected to a brutal Israeli attack, in which helicopters, drones and ground forces participated, claiming that they were “pursuing armed Palestinians, which led to the death of 12 Palestinians and the wounding of 120 others.”

In his speech, Erdogan touched on counter-terrorism operations, saying: “We will continue to combat all terrorist organizations with firmness and determination,” and that his country’s armed forces will continue to pursue terrorist elements wherever they are, whether inside or outside Turkey’s borders.
