Environment Minister meets the UK Ambassador over ties

Amman: Environment Minister Muawieh Radaideh and British Ambassador to Jordan Philip Hall Tuesday discussed, in Amman, strengthening environment cooperation.

Radaideh and Hall discussed support for the Jordanian initiative for the climate-refugee nexus, which received the support of 58 countries and was adopted as one of the solutions to the Declaration of Peace and Recovery at the COP-28 Conference of the Parties, and ways to increase British support for adaptation projects in Jordan, especially the water sector, which is considered a national priority.

The meeting focused on the “need” to increase coordination and cooperation for international technical and financial support related to climate-responsive energy, transport, water, agriculture and health projects.
