Emigration minister: Egypt, Bahrain have historical ties


Minister of State for Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates’ Affairs Soha Gendi said Egypt and Bahrain have historical bonds and share common denominators.

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa agree on viewpoints and joint files on all fronts, including regional files, added Gendi in a statement by the Emigration Ministry on Wednesday 7/2/2024.

Gendi ‘s remarks were made while receiving Bahraini Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Delegate to the Arab League Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal to probe ways of joint cooperation.

The minister said she is constantly holding meetings with the Egyptian community in Bahrain and commended the great support of Bahrain for Egyptians living in the country.

She said the political leadership is paying a due attention to Egyptians and communities abroad.

For her part, the Bahraini ambassador hailed depth and strength of relations binding Egypt and Bahrain on all fronts.

She said Bahrain is keen on enhancing cooperation with Egypt and added t
he kingdom is keen on interests of members of the Egyptian community and acts on removing any obstacles they might face and offer support and help to them.
