Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Mohamed Shaker, received, 29-1-2024, Alexandra Sudoku, Greek Deputy Minister of Environment and Energy, to discuss ways of cooperation between Egypt and Greece in the field of electricity and renewable energy and developments in the electrical interconnection project between the two countries, in the presence of a number of electricity sector leaders.
Shaker said electricity interconnectors between Egypt and Greece has great importance to Egypt’s strategic plan to achieve economic development.
He also praised the efforts made to complete the necessary procedures for the electrical interconnection project, which is considered an important gateway to the connection between Egypt and Europe.
He also stressed that this historic project is of great importance to Egypt’s strategic plan to achieve economic development, and that this project is one of the projects that helps connect Egypt to the European electrical network, and thus Egypt will be a regional center for
energy exchange.
