CAIRO: Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry and his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan emphasised in a phone call on Wednesday the urgent need for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza Strip.
According to the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, the two ministers warned of the ramifications of escalating the conflict in the region, especially in light of the recent developments between Israel and Lebanon.
The call also addressed bilateral relations between the two countries and the arrangements for holding the first meeting of the High-Level Strategic Council between Egypt and Trkiye.
