Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly said on Wednesday that the attacks in the region will have repercussions on all surrounding countries and parties, including Egypt.
In a press statement after an Egyptian cabinet meeting, Madbouly stressed his country’s disproval of the Israeli Occupation’s attacks on Lebanon, assuring that Egypt is against any and all violence, or any targeting of civilians in the region.
“We live during a very difficult period that the region and the world have not seen for decades,” he said, warning of the widening circle of conflict, and the involvement of other parties.
He continued, saying that this is what Egypt has warned of since the start of the Gaza crisis, pointing out that this situation could afflict the whole region and the world with a large global humanitarian crisis, with wars on a global scale.
Madbouly theorized that the struggle could involve other countries and prolong it even further than expected, stressing that Egypt deals with utmost balance and wisdom with these issues.
Madbouly discussed the recent cyberattacks, saying that these cyberattacks have become a part of international war, and that developed countries are not immune to them, including the attacks that hit some international airport’s systems.
He said that the biggest challenge of today’s world for any government is how to maintain stability and safety and secure the basic needs of its citizens without them suffering in our world filled with hurdles.
He added that the Egyptian government is keen on ensuring sustainability of the state and the safety of its citizens. On another note, Egypt is keen on improving foreign investment opportunities affecting tourism to its lands, he added.
