CAIRO: Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty has called for pressuring the Israeli government to fully implement the UN Security Council resolutions regarding ending the war in Gaza and delivering humanitarian aid to people in the enclave.
According to Ahram Online, Abdelatty highlighted Wednesday in a phone call with Germany’s Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock Egypt’s efforts in endorsing negotiations for a ceasefire in Gaza, a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs read.
Abdelatty underlined the need for Germany to continue supporting the UNRWA, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East.
Baerbock expressed her appreciation towards Egypt’s humanitarian efforts to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people in Gaza, affirming Germany’s stance in supporting these efforts.
