DUBAI: The UAE Open Muay Thai Championship for Men and Women kicked off on Friday evening at Dubai’s Festival Arena, featuring 235 competitors from 44 clubs both locally and internationally.
Organised by the UAE Muay Thai and Kickboxing Federation, the championship will run through Sunday, 27th October. This year’s event highlights the UAE’s emerging status as a key hub for Muay Thai on regional and global stages.
Athletes from countries including Bahrain, Kuwait, Egypt, Jordan, Oman, Libya, Iraq, Tunisia, Uzbekistan, and China are competing across various age groups and weight categories.
The opening day featured 58 preliminary matches, with semi-finals set for Saturday and the finals along with the awards ceremony concluding the tournament on Sunday.
