Dlrs19 mln in 2 grants from Switzerland for water management program in Upper Egypt


The Ministry of International Cooperation has announced signing of two grants worth 19 million dollars with the Swiss side that the Ministry of Housing would use in implementing the second phase of the drinking water management program in Upper Egypt.

In a statement Friday 12/01/2024, the ministry said this move comes within the framework of bilateral relations between Egypt and Switzerland, through the joint development cooperation program 2021-2024, of 94 million dollars to various sectors such as water, sanitation, green transformation, and promotion participation of private sector development.

Minister of International Cooperation Rania el-Mashat highlighted the importance of the Egyptian Swiss economic cooperation, and the government’s keenness to enhance this partnership and move to it to wider horizons in a way that serves the national development agenda.
