Death toll of Israeli genocidal war on Gaza climbs to 37,202

The authorities in the Gaza Strip announced Wednesday that the death toll of the Israeli occupation’s genocidal attack on the blockaded Strip surged up to 37,202 people.

The victims include 15,694 children and 10,367 women, nearly 70 percent of the overall toll of the 8-month long assault on the densely-populated Palestinian territory, said the Media Office of the Gaza government.

Moreover, at least 10,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.

It added that over 17,000 children have lost at least one of their parents. A total of 33 children died from starvation and malnutrition due to the Israeli blocking of aid to many parts of the Strip, noted the report. The report stated that the occupation forces killed 70 members of the civil defense teams and 150 journalists.

Moreover, seven mass graves were found inside hospitals in Gaza, from which bodies of 520 Palestinians were recovered.

The report disclosed that the occupation army completely destroye
d 138,400 residential units and partially destroyed another 453,000 units.

The occupying forces also demolished 194 government buildings and 431 schools and universities, either completely or partially.

They also destroyed 604 mosques completely and 200 others partially.

The report pointed out that the occupation arrested 500 Palestinians, including 310 health personnel and 20 journalists, while putting 33 hospitals and 55 health centers out of service.

The Israeli aggression has also resulted in the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from all over the Gaza Strip, with the vast majority of the displaced forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafah near the border with Egypt – in what has become Palestine’s largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.
