Death tally of Israeli aggression on Khan Yunis increases to 27

The death toll from Israeli artillery bombardment on the eastern areas of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip has risen to 27 people and dozens of injuries, the majority of whom were children and women, said a medical sources on Monday.

According to the Palestinian News and Information Agency (WAFA), the Israeli occupation’s warplanes launched intense bombardment on the eastern neighborhoods of the city of Khan Yunis and its towns after orders were issued to immediately evacuate the eastern region and head towards the new area in Al-Mawasi to the west.

Local sources said that the occupation forces did not give the civilians time to evacuate; instead, they began carrying out intense bombardment on the city, which resulting in the killing of at least 27 people and the injury of dozens.

The eastern areas of the city began to witness mass displacement towards the western regions, especially Al-Mawasi.

In a related context, the Nasser Medical Complex, located in Khan Yunis, appealed in a statement to civilians
to donate blood for the benefit of the wounded and sick individuals due to the severe shortage of blood units inside the complex.

This shortage poses a serious threat to the lives of the sick and injured in light of the ongoing massacres carried out by the occupation forces against innocent people and civilians.

About a week ago, the occupation army committed a massacre in the Al-Mawasi area, which it claimed was safe, resulting in the killing of at least 90 civilians and the injury of 300 others, in a series of airstrikes that targeted tents of displaced people.

The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October last year has so far resulted in 38,983 documented Palestinian fatalities, with an additional 89,727 others injured. Thousands more are feared trapped under the rubble and in streets, inaccessible to rescue.
