Tripoli: Head of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbaiba, ordered the formation of an emergency committee headed by the Minister of Local Government, Badr Al-Din Al-Tumi, to follow up on the conditions of the areas affected by the floods in Al-Awainat, Tahala, Al-Berket and Ghat in southern Libya.
The committee, according to Dbaiba’s instructions, is responsible for following up on the conditions of these areas, providing the necessary support, working to remove the harm to the citizens residing in them, and providing the Prime Minister with periodic reports on the work of the committee.
Dbaiba also, issued instructions to the Libyan Post, Telecommunications and Information Technology Holding Company to take the necessary and urgent measures to assign Al-Madar and Libyana companies to send field work teams to assess the damage and maintain communications networks in the areas affected by the floods.
