The head of the National Unity Government, “Abdul Hamid Dbaiba,” announced the arrest of the planner and commander of the bombing of the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the High Electoral Commission, and the National Oil Corporation, in a security operation carried out by the Anti-Terrorism Radaa and the Rahbah al-Duru Brigade in Tajoura.
Al-Dbaiba said – in a video speech broadcast by the media office of the prime minister on his official Facebook page – that our security and law enforcement agencies were able, in a court intelligence security operation, on Tuesday afternoon, to arrest a leader in the terrorist organization ISIS, who was involved in planning and leading these suicide terrorist operations. Which targeted the institutions of our country and its martyred employees in 2018.
He stressed that the national unity government has been working, since its first day, on more than one path to stabilize the state of stability, to turn the wheel of development, reform the structures of security and military institutions, train their personnel, qualify their leaders, and raise their efficiency, which goes hand in hand with steps to improve the citizen’s life.
“Dbaiba” added in his speech that despite the difficulty of the challenges facing the government, it is working and will continue to work with every effort to reach the optimal image that the Libyans wish for without harming the reassurance of the country and the citizen.
The Prime Minister said that the security and intelligence services will continue their work in confronting terrorism in all its forms firmly and pursuing all those proven to be involved in crimes and incidents in this regard against the Libyan people, including the targeting of the headquarters of the High National Elections Commission in May 2018, and the National Oil Corporation in September. , and the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in December of the same year.
He stressed that these heinous crimes claimed innocent lives among the dead and wounded among our compatriots who were safe in their actions before the hands of these dark terrorists and criminals extended to them.
The prime minister said that, I am addressing everyone inside and outside the country that we will fight terrorism in all its forms, and we will continue on this journey with courage and in parallel with our journey in promoting stability, development and the return of life to all parts of Libya.
