HATTA: The Hatta Winter Festival has emerged as a significant platform for the creative community, offering opportunities for artists to connect with one another and showcase their talents to a diverse audience. The festival, organized by Brand Dubai, serves as a centerpiece for the Hatta Winter initiative, which was launched under the guidance of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council. The initiative invites both residents and visitors to experience the unique charm of the highland region during the cooler months.
According to Emirates News Agency, the festival is supervised by the Supreme Committee to Oversee the Development of Hatta and runs from December 13, 2024, to January 22, 2025. A notable event within the festival is the Creatives Walk tour, held on December 29, 2024, which emphasizes the festival’s mission to engage creative communities and showcase Hatta’s attractions to a larger audience. Participants in the tour captured Hatta’s picturesque landscape through various artistic mediums, sharing their work on social media with dedicated hashtags to reach a broader audience.
The Creatives Walk, organized in collaboration with The Creatives Shop, invited a diverse group of creative professionals, including writers, illustrators, videographers, designers, and artists. This initiative exemplifies how the Hatta Winter Festival aims to bridge the gap between the creative community and the public, highlighting the region’s potential for tourism, creative collaborations, and innovative enterprises.
The ‘Creatives Shop’ added an extra layer to the Creatives Walk experience by providing products, services, and expertise to support the lifestyle of creative professionals. The shop emphasized ethical and social values, aiming to create a meaningful impact by fostering creativity in its purest form. Through these efforts, the festival not only celebrates artistic expression but also promotes Hatta as a hub for creativity and cultural engagement.
