Consecutive explosions rock Acre and Haifa in northern Israel, and Hebrew media reports interception of missiles from Lebanon

A series of successive explosions rocked Acre and Haifa in northern Israel a short while ago, amid reports of interception of missiles from Lebanon.

Hebrew sources reported that more than 20 missiles were launched towards the city of Acre. Rockets also fell in Shtula in the Western Galilee.

Hezbollah said in a statement that “in support of our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in support of their valiant and honorable resistance, and in defense of Lebanon and its people, the Islamic Resistance fighters targeted a gathering of enemy soldiers in the Shtula settlement with rocket weapons and achieved confirmed casualties.”

The Israeli army said that 35 missiles were launched from Lebanon towards the Western Galilee.
