Civil Defense controls a fire that broke out in illegal commercial warehouses in Al-Dhilal Street in central Baghdad


Civil Defense Directorate teams have controlled a fire that broke out in illegal commercial warehouses in Al-Dhilal Street in central Baghdad, recording human losses.

The Directorate stated in a statement that the Civil Defense teams have controlled a fire that broke out inside a gable divided into four warehouses constructed of sandwich panels that are highly flammable and violate safety instructions. These warehouses are used to trade perfumes and accessories with an area of three thousand square meters in Al-Nahdha area, Al-Dhilal Street, in central Baghdad.

He continued: The civil defense teams in the Baghdad-Rusafa side were mobilized and deployed nearly forty specialized fire brigades and other support teams with their full crews. Upon arrival, the civil defense teams surrounded the fire and isolated the burning warehouses from their surroundings. They succeeded in carrying out a direct raid and entering the middle of the warehouses to find four bodies of workers of an Arab nationality who were trappe
d by the fire and were unable to exit due to the density of the fire’s products.
