China and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will hold their first-ever joint air force training next month, the Chinese Defense Ministry said on Monday.
According to the annual plan and the consensus reached by the two countries, the Falcon Shield-2023 joint training exercise will be held in China’s Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, the ministry said in a statement.
“This is the first joint training between both air forces, aiming to deepen pragmatic exchanges and cooperation between the two militaries and enhance mutual understanding and trust,” the statement added.
