Biden: That is why I decided to withdraw from the presidential elections

US President Joe Biden justified his decision to withdraw from the upcoming presidential elections, saying that it was ‘to unite the ranks of his party,’ stressing that his Vice, Kamala Harris, whose candidacy he supported, ‘has experience, determination, competence, and is qualified to lead the country.’

Biden said in a speech to the nation on Wednesday evening: ‘I have decided to pass the torch to the next generation, and this is a correct choice and gives the opportunity for a new voice… and the choice is now up to the American people,’ indicating that he will focus during the coming months on carrying out his duties as President of the United States, noting that his country will have to choose between hope and hate.’

He continued, “America will have to choose, over the coming decades, between moving forward or retreating. And “I will remain in the service of the Americans no matter the cost.”

It is noteworthy that US President Joe Biden had announced on July 21 his stepping down from running in the U
S presidential elections scheduled for next November 5, declaring his support for his Vice Kamala Harris to succeed him in the race for the White House.
