Bengdara discusses with the Egyptian Oil Minister the implementation of oil projects in Libya.


Cairo: Chairman of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Farhat Bengdara, discussed in Cairo with the Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Malla, the contribution of the Egyptian petroleum sector companies in implementing oil projects in Libya.

During the meeting on the sidelines of the Egypt Energy Show in Cairo, Bengdara affirmed that there are opportunities and different areas for cooperation with Egypt in implementing oil projects in Libya, especially with the distinguished previous contributions of Egyptian petroleum companies in implementing projects.

According to the NOC, Bengdara expressed Libya’s desire to discuss opportunities to use the services of Egyptian companies in the area of drilling oil and gas wells, where production work is intensified and new areas are offered for research and exploration.

For his part, El Malla stressed the readiness of the petroleum sector through its specialized companies to start work and cooperation with the Libyan side in implementing the
projects inside Libya, highlighting the readiness of training centers in the sector to train the Libyans in light of the Libyan side’s request for cooperation in this regard.
