Batili Congratulates the Libyan people on the Occasion of RamadanPresident El- Sisi follows up on public enterprise development

The UN envoy, Abdullah Batili, congratulated the Libyan people on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, expressing his hope that this holy month will inspire Libyan leaders to work to promote peace, dialogue, unity, and find a sustainable solution that meets the people’s ambition to end division and not stability in Libya.

Batili said in a post on his account on X “During this year’s month of Ramadan, we remember all those whose living conditions were affected by the political and humanitarian crisis and the deterioration of the economy. We also remember those who spend the month of fasting far from their homes and families, whether because they were forced to move, fear for their safety, or were detained outside the framework of the law.”

Yesterday, Sunday, the Libyan Fatwa House announced that today, Monday, is the completion of the month of Shaban, and that tomorrow, Tuesday, is the first day of the blessed month of Ramadan for the year 1445 AH.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met Monday with Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly and Minister of Public Enterprise Sector Mahmoud Esmat as he was updated on the government’s steps to ensure the prompt completion of new projects.

Those are currently being implemented in a myriad of sectors, such as pharmaceuticals, tourism, spinning and weaving, constructions, chemical industries and electric cars.

Those shall contribute to fulfilling the needs of the local market and boost exports, as part of the state’s orientation toward strengthening the national manufacturing sector and increasing reliance on local products.

President Sisi gave directives to continue the implementation of the Performance Improvement Plan of companies and factories affiliated to the public enterprise sector as well as the training and capacity-enhancement programs for human resources.

The president also stressed the need to improve the companies’ marketing policies to increase the volume of local sales and enhance exports. This is in ad
dition to focusing on partnerships with the private sector to reinforce efforts toward progress and development in Egypt.

President Sisi was similarly briefed on the government’s measures to implement the social support package targeted at public employees.
