The head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Masoud Barzani, discussed today, Saturday, with a delegation of religious scholars headed by Sheikh Ahmed Abdul Razzaq Al-Saadi the situation in Iraq and the threats and challenges facing its future.
A statement from Barzani’s headquarters said that Barzani received Al-Saadi today, noting that the guest delegation expressed its thanks for the region’s care and shelter for hundreds of thousands of refugees who fled to the Kurdistan region, and appreciated his efforts to ensure stability.
The statement indicated that during the meeting, views were exchanged on the situation in Iraq and future threats and challenges, and the necessity of coordination between the two parties was emphasized to overcome crises and sensitive situations.
