Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Major General Yousef Hunaiti Tuesday said the Jordanian borders are equipped with the latest devices, equipment, weapons and communications necessary to ensure border security.
According to a statement, Hunaiti added that the Armed Forces would counter attempts to undermine Jordan’s security and stability, noting that development and modernisation operations on the border are based on strategic plans.
During a visit to the command of the Royal Border Guard Battalion/11, one of the units of the Northern Military Region, he listened to briefings on the progress of programmes and operational, training and logistical matters and military unit efforts to enhance border security and measures to prevent infiltration and smuggling operations.
