El Arish International Airport received Sunday a Turkish aircraft carrying humanitarian aid to the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
The planes are loaded with 46 tonnes of relief aid, said an official in North Sinai said in a press release on Sunday.
Efforts are underway to unload the shipment and transfer it to the logistics warehouses in Arish city, in preparation for delivering it to the Gaza Strip through the gate of Rafah Port in coordination with the Egyptian Red Crescent and its Palestinian counterpart.
El Arish International Airport has received 484 planes, including 394 planes carrying more than 13,000 tons of various kinds of aid, including relief aid sent by 50 Arab and foreign countries, along with regional and international organizations since the start of the Israeli war on the strip.
