Baghdad, A Syrian military source announced on Tuesday morning that Israel had launched an attack targeting a site in the vicinity of the city of Baniyas, indicating that the losses were limited to material losses.
In its report, the Syrian Official News Agency (SANA) quoted the military source as saying that Israel launched an air attack targeting a site in the vicinity of the Syrian city of Baniyas, which led to some material losses.
SANA quoted the military source as saying: ‘At approximately 00:20 after midnight on 7/9/2024, the Israeli enemy launched an air attack from the direction of the Mediterranean Sea, west of Baniyas.’
He added that “the attack targeted one of the points around the city of Baniyas and led to some material losses.”
Israel has launched attacks from time to time inside Syria on Iranian-backed groups and military points belonging to the Syrian army, since the start of the internal war in the country in 2011.
