Ambassador Norland: We support efforts aimed at promoting sustainable and continuous improvements to health systems and health care in Libya.Egypt, Bahrain keen to boost economic relations

Tripoli: America affirmed its support for promoting sustainable and ongoing improvements to health care systems in Libya.

This was stated by the American special envoy to Libya, Richard Norland, during his participation in the virtual discussion that brought together the Libyan delegation and American officials, according to a post by Ambassador Norland on his account on the ‘X’ website today, Tuesday.

Norland said, ‘Thank you to the Director of the American-Libyan Chamber of Commerce, Debbie Hurst, for hosting today’s virtual discussion with Libyan Ministry of Health officials who are visiting the United States to meet with health care providers and hospitals in New York, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C..’

The American ambassador added, ‘We welcome their visit and support efforts aimed at promoting sustainable and ongoing improvements to health systems and health care in Libya and around the world.’

Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli stressed on Tuesday 30/1/2024 the profound historical relations between the leadership and peoples of Egypt and Bahrain, emphasizing the government’s keenness to push forward bilateral co-operation to broader horizons, particularly in the economic field.

The Prime Minister made these remarks during his meeting with the Bahraini Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainalas she starts her term in Egypt.

He highlighted the longstanding diplomatic relations between the two countries that extend over half a century.

He emphasised the importance of building on the commitment of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain to strengthen and expand relations.

Ambassador Zainal said she appreciates the growth and development of fraternal relations between the two countries at all levels, and echoed the mutual keenness of both countries to enhance co-operation and coordination on various issues.
