Al-Sudani meets a group of notables and families of the martyrs of the Karrada area in Baghdad

The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, received this evening, Tuesday, a group of dignitaries from the people of the Karrada region in Baghdad, and representatives of the families of the martyrs there, in the presence of; Mayor of Baghdad, Governor of Baghdad, Deputy Ahmed Al-Kinani, and Commander of Al-Rusafa Operations.

Al-Sudani listened to the problems raised by the people and notables of the region related to overcrowding and traffic congestion, and the disproportionate services provided to the people of Karrada, which today constitutes a commercial and tourist interface and a destination for most visitors to the capital, Baghdad.

The residents also reviewed some of the social difficulties associated with the expansion of commercial activity, and the need to open more roads, and to include them in projects to remove traffic jams.

The Prime Minister indicated that the government will continue to provide services to citizens, in all residential areas, according to a clear vision, plan and study of priorities in terms of needs and requirements.

Al-Sudani directed to study all the proposals submitted by the people, meet the immediate service requirements, remove all obstacles that prevent the opening of the remaining public streets, and quickly allocate a plot of land for the construction of a health clinic and a school building, and provide small vehicles for civil defense to serve the region.

Al-Sudani also directed the follow-up of the dues of the martyrs of the terrorist attacks that the region was subjected to, and those affected by terrorist acts in accordance with the legal entitlements, as well as the formation of a committee from the Office of the Prime Minister and the membership of a representative of the people of Al-Karrada to raise a monthly position for His Excellency regarding the requirements that have been accomplished.
