Prime Minister, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani concluded his field visit to Maysan and Basra governorates.
The Prime Minister’s Media Office said in a statement, ‘The visit included the following:
1/ Opening of the associated gas processing project in Halfaya field in Maysan Governorate, with a capacity of 300 million standard cubic feet per day, which will contribute to the operation of power stations and the production of liquid fuel.
2/ Opening of high octane Unit project in Basra Refinery with a capacity of (11) thousand barrels per day, which will secure the country’s need for improved gasoline.
3/ Supervising the actual operation of the steam boiler unit in the Basra Refinery, with a production capacity of 300 tons/hour, to supply the production expansions in the refinery’s units and facilities with the steam necessary for operation.
4/ A field visit to the FCC catalyst crushing project site, which reached an 81% implementation rate, and a meeting with the technical and engineering staff working on the p
roject.
5/ Field review of the executive workflow for the construction of the fourth refining unit in the Basra Refinery, with a design capacity capable of refining 70 thousand barrels per day of crude oil and converting it into derivatives.
6/ A field visit to the Basra refinery projects and their expansions.
