The transmission projects launched by the Prime Minister include the South Nasiriyah Secondary Station with a capacity of 400 kV, as well as the establishment of two strategic lines (Rumaila – South Nasiriyah) and (South Nasiriyah – Dhi Qar Combined), with a capacity of 400 kV, and the expansion of the external network of the Dhi Qar Combined Station with a capacity of 400 kV, in addition to the Oreido, Industrial Housing Secondary, and Al-Rafai Secondary Stations, with a capacity

He said that the electricity problem is not limited to generation, but is also a problem of distribution and transmission.

He added that the government’s first concern was to complete the combined cycle projects to provide 10,000 megawatts, 6,000 of which have been completed through investment, and the rest were included in the Chinese agreement.

He explained that future plans include 1,260 megawatts of electricity for Dhi Qar Governorate within the new economic model.

He continued: We distributed the projects to other governorates, according to the fuel used, and according to the bottlen
ecks and gap in production and the availability of water for the stations.

Al-Sudani said: We started with the transmission line projects that will prevent a complete shutdown, and we are completing the rest of the transmission networks to provide great flexibility in transferring energy.

He added that “we hope to explain the dimensions of the government plans to the citizen through the local government, and the projects stem from a vision and planning in all sectors.”

He stressed that this government has no stalled projects, and all previous stalled projects are being addressed today, and the decisions of the Council of Ministers are following up on ending this file.
