Al-Koni meets with the Executive Secretary of the Community of Sahel-Saharan States.


Representative of the Presidential Council, “Moussa Al-Koni,” met today, Sunday, with the Executive Secretary of the Community of Sahel-Saharan States, “Ado Al-Hajji Abu.”



The Presidential Council’s media office reported that Al-Koni urged, during this meeting, which was attended by the Director of the African Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation – African official, the necessity of working to find effective solutions to the crises that the countries of the group are experiencing recently, by requiring them to hold periodic meetings at various levels to ensure the stability of the countries of the group. .



Al-Koni reviewed the results of his meetings with the heads of neighboring countries about the repercussions of the unruly situation in Niger, and his meeting with a number of African presidents on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in South Africa, and the situation in the neighboring countries to work to find solutions to prevent the fighting that will negatively affect the countries of the region.



According to the media office, the Executive Secretary of the (S, Y) group praised the support given by the Libyan state to support the group, to resume its work from Tripoli, as a strong impetus to carry out its duties towards the member states during this stage that the group’s countries are experiencing, and to work for their stability.



He stressed that the Community of Sahel-Saharan States is the largest grouping in Africa, and includes more than half of the member states of the African Union. It will carry out the tasks assigned to it in the service of the countries of the group.
