Candidate Salem Al-Issawi got 158 votes, while Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani 137 votes, and MP, Amer Abdul-Jabbar 3 votes against 13 invalid ballots at the conclusion of the process of counting and sorting the votes of voters in the second round to elect the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
There will be a third round between MPs Salem Al-Issawi and Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani
