Speaker of the Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, received today, Sunday, the new commander of the Anbar Governorate Police, Major General Muhammad Rashid Salih, the former commander of the provincial police, Lieutenant General Hadi Rizig Kassar, and the new director of the Anbar Intelligence Directorate, Brigadier General Dhaher Mahmoud Yassin al-Alwani, and the former director, Major General Raid Ahmed Al-Faris.
Al-Halbousi, according to a statement by his office, appreciated the efforts of the former leaders and their role in consolidating security and stability in Anbar Province throughout the past period, wishing the new leaders success in their duties and standing up to any threats targeting the security of the citizen and the stability of the province.
Al-Halbousi affirmed the support of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces to make security changes and job rotation in accordance with the government’s vision and program in managing the security file, and the continued support of our military and security forces in combating terrorism, and all efforts that contribute to strengthening stability.
