Baghdad: The Head of the National Wisdom Movement, Mr. Ammar Al-Hakim, and the Head of the Taqaddum Party, Mohammed Al-Halbousi, stressed the importance of supporting Al-Sudani’s government and local governments.
Al-Hakim said in a statement, “We met this evening with the head of the Taqaddum Party, Mohammed Al-Halbousi, and discussed the developments of the political scene in Iraq and the region and the upcoming entitlements, as we renewed our vision of the necessity of working to maintain the achieved stability and work to transform it into permanent stability.”
He added: “We stressed the importance of supporting Mr. Al-Sudani’s government and local governments in the governorates to complete stalled projects and start new projects, and we also renewed the emphasis on the importance of deciding to choose a new speaker of the Iraqi Parliament who is characterized by integrity, competence and faith in the political system in Iraq.”
Regarding the Gaza crisis, Al-Hakim said: We stressed the need to stop the
war, bring in humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people, rebuild the city and return the displaced.”
