Al-Araji confirms the government’s keenness to maintain relations with the Arab world


National Security Adviser Qasim Al-Araji stressed that the government of Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani is keen to maintain relations with the Arab world.

The Chencellry said in a statement: “Al-Araji met in his office today with the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates in Baghdad, Abdullah Matar Al-Mazrouei, on the occasion of assuming his new duties as his country’s ambassador to Iraq.”

The meeting discussed ways to enhance fraternal relations between the two countries and brotherly peoples, and prospects for joint cooperation at all levels.

Al-Araji stressed that the government of Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani is keen to maintain relations with the Arab world, especially the brotherly United Arab Emirates, and that the future of the development path adopted by the Iraqi government will be promising through partnership with Arab and friendly countries. The meeting also discussed the challenges and difficult and exceptional circumstances taking place in the region, in addition to exchanging views on issues of conce
rn to the region and the importance of preventing the expansion of the conflict in the region, through the combined efforts of all, to reduce escalation and end the suffering of the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples.
