Abu Dhabi Executive Council issues resolution to form Board of Trustees of Family Care Authority


ABU DHABI: Abu Dhabi Executive Council has issued a resolution to form the Board of Trustees of the Family Care Authority, chaired by Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili.

Other board members are Counsellor Youssef Saeed Al Abri, Mubarak Hamad Al Mheiri, Dr. Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi, Major General Maktoum Ali Al Sharifi, and Sana Mohamad Suhail.

Under the leadership of its new Board of Trustees, the Family Care Authority will continue its responsibilities of providing specialised and integrated services to meet families’ needs in the family care field. It will adopt a holistic and streamlined approach in addressing social challenges through integrated case management and collaboration with social sector entities to achieve the highest quality standards in line with adopted policies.

Abu Dhabi Executive Council has also approved the expansion of the authority’s roles and responsibilities, including expanding the scope of the authority’s mandate to integrate the roles and services of the Abu Dhabi Centre for Shelteri
ng and Humanitarian Care – Ewaa to form a unified ecosystem that provides specialised family care, in addition to sheltering and humanitarian care services, rehabilitation and empowerment programmes, psychological and social support, and counselling for victims of violence and human trafficking.

This will ensure the effective integration of efforts and services to build a strong and sustainable system that provides beneficiaries with high-quality services within a unified framework that serves family well-being.
