Syrian media announced: “A violent Israeli air strike targeted the Mezzeh area in the capital, Damascus.”
While Western media reported: “The Syrian air defenses are confronting targets in the vicinity of the capital,” indicating: “The available information confirms that Israeli aircraft launched raids from above the Golan Heights, targeting one of the sites on the southern outskirts of the capital, Damascus.”
It added: “The initial information indicates that a residential building was targeted in the “Old Mezzeh” neighborhood, south of the capital, Damascus, and that civilian casualties fell.”
