Diyala Governorate recorded a drowning case, the third during the current week.
A security source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / that a young man drowned in the Diyala River, one of the tributaries of the Tigris River, while swimming to escape the high temperatures and power outages.
He added that the drowned man’s body was recovered by the river police and the cooperation of the residents, indicating that the incident is the third during the current week.
