A joint force carried out a security operation to secure the banks of the Diyala River.
A security source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA): ‘A joint security force carried out a security operation to secure the banks of the Diyala River to prevent any terrorist activities and redeployment that leads to securing agricultural areas.’
He added: ‘The operation is the third of its kind in the Diyala River sector during the current year and comes within the Operations Command’s strategy to support agricultural villages.’
